Quaternity — Legal Disclaimer
Quaternity® is a proprietary mindsport created by Arif Ali-Shah and operated under the Quaternity Project - companies, clubs, individuals, and not-for-profit organizations who hold active Licensing Agreements with Quaternity, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company (collectively “Quaternity”). By accessing, playing, or participating in any form of Quaternity — whether using physical boards, digital platforms, instructional materials, or related services — you agree to the following terms:
1. Intellectual Property
Quaternity, including its rules, game design, educational methodologies, terminology, artwork, digital engine, copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade names, logos, service marks, associated materials, and all other intellectual property rights and associated goodwill is protected by international intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved. No part of the game may be copied, reproduced, modified, or distributed without prior written permission from the rights holder.
2. Permitted Use
Quaternity is intended for recreational, educational, cultural, and community use.
Users may play the game privately or within schools, clubs, and community settings.
Commercial use, public broadcasting, licensing, public teaching, facilitator training, or organized tournaments under the Quaternity name require authorization from the Quaternity Project or its officially designated licensees.
3. No Professional Advice
Quaternity is a strategy game and learning tool. It does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic, financial, legal, or other professional advice.
Quaternity is not a substitute for any form of professional diagnosis, treatment, mental-health care, medical intervention, counseling, or therapeutic program.
Any perceived cognitive, educational, or emotional benefits are context-dependent and not guaranteed.
4. Safety and Conduct
Users are responsible for ensuring that gameplay occurs in a safe and respectful environment.
Quaternity accepts no responsibility for injuries, conflicts, or adverse outcomes resulting from misuse of equipment, unsupervised play, or improper conduct during gameplay.
5. Digital Platforms
When using the patented Quaternity online engine or any digital version:
Users must comply with the platform’s applicable terms and community guidelines.
Quaternity is not liable for technical interruptions, data loss, software errors, or third-party service failures.
6. Third-Party Programs and Implementations
Schools, clubs, institutions, or facilitators running Quaternity programs do so under their own responsibility unless formally accredited or licensed by Quaternity.
Quaternity is not liable for unauthorised adaptations, local rule changes, unofficial teaching methods, or independent program outcomes.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quaternity, its founders, partners, volunteers, licensees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:
participation in Quaternity,
use of game materials,
reliance on Quaternity-related information,
or engagement in Quaternity clubs, programs, or events.
8. Updates
Quaternity may update its rules, policies, and official guidelines periodically. Continued use of the game constitutes acceptance of these updates.
